A clinic built on real connection, steady care and community trust
ACUPUNCTURE
CRANIO-SACRAL THERAPY
NATUROPATHY
When you step into Port Melbourne Traditional Chinese Medicine, you’re stepping into more than just a treatment room.
You’re entering a peaceful space created by a local practitioner who’s spent nearly 20 years building something genuine: a place where clients feel safe, heard and supported, every step of the way.
This clinic began with a simple idea — to offer quality, whole-person care in a way that feels grounded and real. That idea has remained at the centre of everything we do. We don’t rush. We don’t treat from templates.
And we don’t talk over people’s heads.
We listen. We explain. We walk with you.
Meet Suzette Salloum
Founder | Acupuncturist | Chinese Herbalist
"I’ve always known I’d work in healthcare. What I didn’t know at the start was just how powerful Chinese Medicine would be — not just for injury and pain, but for everything from fertility to digestion, hormones and mental health.
After completing my degree in Human Biology, I moved into a full Bachelor of Chinese Medicine and never looked back. It made sense to me on every level. A whole system that sees the body as interconnected. A way of working that isn’t just about fixing problems, but about helping people live better lives in a sustainable way.
I started working in Port Melbourne in 2007 and opened the clinic in its current form in 2010. Since then, the space has grown, but the core hasn’t changed — we still offer honest, skilled, person-centred care to people from all walks of life. We’ve been through economic downturns, lockdowns, and many life seasons with our clients, and we’re still here — growing, evolving, and offering care that’s never rushed and always grounded.
Today, I work with a lot of women navigating fertility, hormones, and nervous system health. I also treat pain, digestive health and general wellbeing. I use acupuncture, cupping and Chinese herbal medicine, and I take the time to explain what I see and how we’ll approach it together.
When you’re lying down with needles in, trust matters. And so does conversation. I want people to feel at ease. That means being professional, but also being a human. I talk to my clients like neighbours, not patients. I share when it helps. And I always make sure you feel like you’re part of the process
Facts about me
I am a longtime resident on the local in the South Melbourne Albert Park Port Melbourne area.

Our Clinic Today
We are now a three-room clinic located upstairs on Bay Street, with approved plans to expand into a larger space with group facilities, workshops and wellness events in the near future.
Every member of our team operates independently, but collaboratively — sharing knowledge and working together to ensure every client gets the care they need, whether that’s in our clinic or through trusted referrals.
We also make it a priority to remain accessible, always reserving space in our schedules for at least one subsidised or discounted client who would otherwise face barriers to care.

Our Values in Action
This clinic doesn’t operate on volume or sales targets. We take time. We stay consistent. And we prioritise relationships.
Every part of our practice is shaped by these values:
Our Space
Upstairs at 190 Bay Street is a quiet, light-filled space you wouldn’t expect from the street. It’s intentionally calming — simple, clean, and peaceful.
Clients often say they feel better the moment they walk in. That’s part of the treatment too.
We’ve designed our clinic to be:
Relaxing and low-stimulation
Comfortable and welcoming
Easy to access and move through
Free from unnecessary noise, clutter or pressure
We also offer a small, curated selection of products in-clinic, including raw herbs, loose-leaf teas, heat packs, supplements and self-care tools. Nothing over-marketed, just simple items that support your health between appointments.
